I was wandering what codes I will get with the EGR delete? I have the dpf delete and have been reading that I need to get rid of the egr. Also, is the kit from K2 a good one?

Will it hurt anything to run the egr delete with out the egde? I already have the check engine light and service required message from the dpf delete.

I believe I was getting P0131.

Sorry, it was not P0131. I remember now.. it was P0106 - Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Performance... I clear it with Edge. I am not sure why this is...

I don't think I am getting any other codes, or I haven't checked the past couple of days.

The one that I am getting now when I checked yesterday is P0405. I believe the P0106 was probably due to the sensor to the EGR not being unplugged... I unplugged it and now that code is gone. I only have P0405...

From what casey told me today, it wont hurt a thing to run the truck without an edge. the service required ding will get annoying, but wont hurt anything. make sure the plug on the side of the tranny is unplugged until you get an edge or have a way to clear codes upon start up. i started clearing my codes today with my 5.9 triple dog, so i plugged my sensor on the tranny back in. Hope that helped!

i don't know, but on mine i originally left the plug in and the edge worked fine clearing the codes. then i read this thread and thought i'd just try it with it unplugged. once i unplugged it i got a code (didn't check which one) that the edge wouldn't clear. so i just plugged it back in and all has been well.

engine derating

i installed the egr delete from K2 (well built kit) but as soon as i got it on my cat indicator started to climb up 70,80.90,100 then the overhead said service req, i have checked my fooler box and everything is hooked up right and i double checked everything with the egr to make sure i did it right but now i have lost a lot of power and the edge cant clear the codes. can anyone help? or am i going to have to go to the dealer and get the ecu reflashed<

i followed the instructions that you posted Compcowboy to the last detail which by the way helped a lot. i have read about people unpluging a sensor on the transmission what will this do ? and i have the H&S kit. i dont mean to keep repeating myself in the post but i was needing information. do you know of a way to get the truck out of limp mode?
